Well, I am officially the worst blogger EVER! I have had this since January and have only posted twice.. So hopefully I will be better at this now! I took 17 credits last semester and had a job, so life got pretty busy. Yes I know what you're thinking... excuses excuses. I am disappointed in myself... ha! Well anyways.. I have a lot to catch up on so I will try to just highlight the important things!
I got the opportunity to attend the April session of General Conference and it was such a wonderful experience! It is definitely a totally new experience to be there in person listening to the words of the prophets. I loved it and I hope to go again next year! Our ward was lucky enough to get like 190 tickets... So a lot of us got to go, which was wonderful! It was also really interesting being there in person and seeing all the protestors... I just don't understand their issues. Seriously, some of their signs don't even make sense. The important thing is that we just ignored them =] It was also nice to see people there that were against the protestors. I don't think they were necessarily LDS, they just had signs like "We love Mormons" and so on. It's nice to know that not everyone is ridiculous...
I had a great first year of college; however, I really am glad that it is done! I was super busy, especially this past semester. I managed to come out with all A's both semesters, so I was really ecstatic about that. I am hoping to get a sophomore scholarship so I am crossing my fingers!
Even though it's nice to be done with school, I will miss my roommates a lot! We did lots of fun things together and they were so great to live with. It's amazing how much difference having good roommates can make. One of the fun things we did was making a fort in our front room. We got ambitious one night and decided to make a sweet fort. It was probably the most epic fort ever! We slept under it and had junk food and everything. It was great! We even left it up for a few days after that... So we kept crawling through it. I even made my home teachers crawl through it... haha! But here's a video to showcase our wicked fort...
So that was a fun thing to do! Another fun thing I did this semester was going to visit my brother and Sister in law and their kids in Montana. They were blessing my niece Penelope. She is such a doll!!
Since I was in Salt lake and my parents were coming from Boise, I met them in Pocatello and rode with them from there, so that worked out pretty well! We had a fun time eating, playing games, dressing up, and just being together. I love spending time with my family! I love them so much.
Something interesting that happened was that part of the ceiling in my room decided to collapse... It started as kind of a crack and then one morning at 2:50 it decided to all fall down. It scared the ever livin' daylights out of me but that's ok! I didn't die or anything, so that's good. I just made a royal mess...
After school finished on the 13th, I came to Boise with part of my stuff.
My boyfriend Parker came with me because we thought it would be a fun thing to do. Parker just left for Missouri to do summer sales, so we figured it would be a fun thing to do before he left. We had a good time in Boise hanging out with my family and just doing some fun things! We went to the hot springs with my brother and that was fun. It was a little hike and we all decided we are severely out of shape! But it was nice when we got up there! It was pretty and sunny, but it was still cool enough that the hot springs felt nice =]
While we were here I had a friend that likes to do photography and asked if I wanted to "model" for him. We went and took some pictures and that was way fun! He did a really good job and they turned out really well! Here are just a few of them..
So... Now I am in Boise and he is in Missouri. It is going to be a very long summer... But hopefully I'll keep very busy with swim lessons and such. So it's all good!
My Montana family is here visiting and my sister and nieces and I decorated some flip flops and that was way fun. Here are the ones I did!
